The Teen Mom, Celebrity Big Brother and adult film star, who is already mother to six-year-old Sophia, said she was "very excited".

She told Us Weekly magazine: "I'm happy to confirm I'm moving forward in my adoption process.

"This means I will be making some changes in my career to welcome a new addition to my family."

She added: "Very excited and this feels so right. I'm very blessed for this opportunity."

Farrah first came to prominence in MTV's 2009 reality TV show 16 and Pregnant.

She was 17-years-old and eight months pregnant when her ex-boyfriend and the father of her baby, Derek Underwood, was killed in a car accident in December 2008.

After that she went on to star in the spin-off show Teen Mom, where cameras followed her raising a child on her own.

Farrah, 24, said she was excited about adding to her family and Sophia was looking forward to becoming a big sister.

She told America's OK! magazine: "Sophia is in the right frame of mind and is very supportive as well.

"She is very open and accepting to understanding that someone else had other parents, and we would be their second parent and be a loving family to them."
